::We took customers from overseas to a tour of miso brewing. A 500 yen souvenir per person is available every Friday from 11am. A historical miso brewing company. The factory tour was also a great experience, and there were many tourists from outside the prefecture. The direct sales store also has many rare souvenirs.

::This store has absolutely amazing products and really friendly and helpful service staff. We especially love their Amazake (Boysenberry's our favorite but the others are great as well) and their Miso! Honestly, our only regret was that we didn't buy more of their products to try ourselves and also to give to family members - but this is definitely on our bucket list if we ever travel to/pass by Niigata again. Oh and be sure to try their miso ice cream while you're there too!

::Miso is available at the sake shop and rice farm. It's a few minutes' walk from Imayo Tsukasa Sake Brewery, where we toured the brewery, and depending on your schedule, you can even try your hand at making miso. If you go directly from Niigata Station, it's about a 15 minute walk. While waiting for the bus, I stopped by and bought some Echigo miso and spicy miso. A good spot to include in your sightseeing route. ※postscript※ Miso Gura's spicy miso (486 yen including tax) is recommended! You can add it to ramen or add it to grilled chicken or pork.

::It's a small and cute shop. I love soft serve ice cream, so I ordered the miso soft serve ice cream. 😁🍦It was delicious, but I was a corn fan so I ordered a cup so I was disappointed. The cup has a cute cow pattern. 😉🎽
