::Summary: fun experience, good food, very high price Atmosphere and people: wonderful vibe and fun fire show when you are served your ramen, the staff and owner of this small business are exceptionally nice and hospitable. The staff took pictures and the owner even gave us a guide book for Kyoto. They are really geared towards tourists and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. Food: most importantly they have non pork / vegetarian options which is great if you are traveling with a group who has dietary restrictions., but they also have pork based ramen as well. Other restaurants are not so accommodating or considerate to folks who can't eat meats. good ramen (not not the best you will find or the cheapest, but a fun experience when you visit Kyoto). Price: here is my biggest issue, I was even debating giving this a 2 stars because of this. The price of a single bowl of ramen is 3000 yen, which is up to triple the price of other also quality ramens in Kyoto. I even looked at some reviews from just a month ago and the price increased from 2000 yen to 3000 (1.5x increase). That is not a good value. In fact it's a bad bad value: I almost felt ripped off, very ripped off. This isn't even a good price in the United States where ramen is crazy expensive. Based on reviews it seems they implemented higher pricing to combat long lines. I would argue the high price is more damaging to reviews of restaurant than the lines would be. Recommendation to owner: keep doing what makes you unique, it's ok to cater to tourists and you and your staff are kind and hospitable. However, I believe you should reduce the price. 3000 for a bowl of ramen is crazy in Kyoto and it makes customers feel ripped off as the value is no longer there. If long line are a problem: Consider implementing ticketing system so customers can go around while they wait and not have to wait in a long queue. Or offer a "happy hour special where you serve the same product at a lower price at non peak times so price sensitive customers can enjoy the shop at a time that won't impact lines (ie we went on a Monday around 6 and the shop was empty)

::Great experience. Very entertaining way of serving ramen. The food was delicious, the staff very nice. The owner shares hidden places in Kyoto and gives directions on how to get to your next destination. Definitely worth the time and the money .

::Great veggie set menu which was really yummy, plus incredible atmosphere with the fire show! Owner was lovely and gave us lots of recommendations, including the more hidden spots of Kyoto and downtown Kyoto bars.

::We got front row seats to a fire show, with our eyebrows still intact. You can really feel the heat on your face, and the fire is really bright. The noodles were good, and the soup had a charness to it. The gyoza and fried rice were tasty as well. They also have self sticks hung up in the kitchen to capture the firing act. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.
