::The best dining experience of my recent Japan trip - a MUST visit if you are in Sendai! Every course was delectable and beautiful in presentation, we particularly enjoyed the opportunity to compare the two types of beef and the various condiments provided to elevate the eating experience (we were provided wasabi to grate, the miso butter was a personal favourite) In particular, our server, Saiko Hayasaka, went above and beyond in making our night a thoroughly enjoyable one. Despite not being very fluent in English, she translated every single aspect of the dish (down to the specific condiments) to let us know what we were eating. When her translator device was malfunctioning, she even used her own phone to translate the ingredients for us. As part of the dinner, she helped us to film the chef’s cooking process and gave us a special message to make our night all the more memorable. As we could not drink caffeinated drinks at that time, Saiko-san provided an alternative of juice for us too. Her attention to detail, meticulousness and care in her service is truly commendable. All the staff and the delectable meal made this the most memorable dinner for us in this trip. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

::I’m so happy that I found this place on the internet by chance. Absolutely wonderful place with great staff and great food. Our waitress was awesome and very good at speaking English as well as super attentive. We had a set menu with matsutaka and sendai wagyu as main dish. The menu cost 10 000 yen per person and it was money well spent! Every course was well thought through and the attention to detail was impressive. In my life i have been to many Michelin star establishments and I would say that Matsuzakaya beats most of them.

::The food by chef Kunii was incredibly creative and tasted amazing, especially the teppan beef and garlic rice. The service, led by manager Watanabe-san, was extremely professional and friendly. We had a wonderful dining experience, it is definitely a MUST-VISIT restaurant if we are in Sendai the next time.

::Glad I made a reservation. Delicious food and my stomach was so full by the end, just enough for desert. The Sendai (softer and melted in mouth) and Matsusaka (a little less soft and more chewy) steaks were delicious. Very interesting flavors. Nice waitresses and waiters. Thank you everyone!

::Made a reservation after checking out the Sendai lights. Very quick and courteous service. The food was delicious and beautiful. They gave us an English menu and even used a translator device to help explain each item to us. We can’t wait to go back!
