In addition, when a wisdom tooth becomes decayed, the dentist respects the patient's wishes, such as deciding when to have the tooth extracted rather than just removing it immediately. (I was really scared of having my tooth extracted, but I thought it had to be done anyway, so I asked for it.) I had a trauma when I had a tooth extracted when I was little, so I was really nervous, but I was really surprised that it didn't hurt at all.
