::The staff at this ryokan were so polite and kind. Very gracious and accommodating. They made the stay a pleasure. The Japanese breakfast was very large including many dishes-grilled fish, rice, hot miso soup, egg, two vegetables, pickled condiments, nori. The hot bath at the end of the day was great. Easy access to train station, and walk to most areas of interest.

::We had a delightful stay at this charming little Ryokan. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, showcasing the renowned Japanese hospitality. The breakfast was a delicious foray into Japanese cuisine, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead. Despite the rainy weather, the free umbrellas provided by the Ryokan were a thoughtful touch that didn't go unnoticed. Booking a session at the in-house bath was a breeze, even for last-minute decisions. It proved to be an inexpensive yet utterly relaxing experience, adding a special memory to our stay. The rooms exuded authenticity, comfort, and were equipped with everything we needed for a cozy stay. While the Ryokan is situated a bit away from the main station and city center, the location encourages exploring the area by foot or a short bus ride, which we didn’t mind at all. For those seeking an authentic Ryokan experience without breaking the bank, this place is a must-visit. It offers great value and a genuine taste of Japan, making it a standout choice compared to the pricier alternatives.

::When I headed out after check-out, I was totally regretful because my decision was absolutely awful. Maybe someone could tell me why I am tripping about this Ryokan. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!. I should have stayed in this place more than 3 or 4 days. I will definitely re-visit and stay there if I have another chance to visit Kyoto! Location is perfect! Walk 5 min from Higashihonganji, 20 min from Kiyomizudera, 10 min from Kyoto station. The most friendly staff I have ever met! Breakfast seemed so Japanese home-made~ Simple but tastes out of the world! (Anyone happens to know what brand of the rice cooker the Ryokan uses? - I want to buy it). Room and others - I enjoyed staying in Japanese traditional type room. Super Clean and super warm. Can't complain about anything. Perfect for me!

::Nice ryokan in quiet place. Staff were very helpful, breakfasts — tasty! The only issue was the streetlight right in front of my window, so it was kinda bright enough at night, even though the window was of type to prevent it (I cannot imagine how it could’ve been with regular window).

::The location was very convenient, about 10 minutes walk from Kyoto station. My room was very comfortable. I stayed there for 5 nights and breakfast - Japanese style - was different each day. And it was always delicious! The shared bathroom was actually quite private: I could simply lock the door! It also looked very clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would be happy to stay here again!
