::Arrived during posted open hours, and was told the shop was closed, even though people were still eating there, and then a second waiter indicated, untruthfully that the ramen was sold out. Did not get to try this ramen, and had come specifically to try this. Ushichan Onimich store a few doors down was much more accommodating in that they served us, and the ramen was fantastic at Ushichan. I recommend going down the street to another place and avoiding this one.

::Very popular ramen restaurant that specializes in the local Onomichi ramen. Waited in line for a while, but it was worth the wait. The ramen was delicious - super-soft pork and a very tasty broth. The service was very quick, even thought the restaurant was very busy.

::I like the large heap of spring onions on the noodle. Bit too much fats though. Soup is rich.

::Best onomichi ramen in town. My favorite so far in Japan as a whole. This place has a line / wait for a reason. The soup is perfectly balanced (not too salty but with plenty of flavor). The noodles themselves are chewy and springy. The only slight letdown were the fried gyoza which were ok but basically the same as any other place in Japan. Rice goes really well with any leftover soup.

::It's a popular ramen place in the area that serves 'Onomichi Ramen', which really isn't that special apart from the extra fat bits floating in the soup. I taste pretty much only soy sauce from the soup and not a whole lot more. Definitely go give it a try if you are in Onomichi, you will get served good ramen, but just don't expect anything extraordinary.
