::A supermarket that is popular among locals, located right across from Hirome Market. I think the great thing about it is that it's open until 9pm. There is a Family Mart right next door, but it's much cheaper to buy drinks here.

::Personally, I give it a high score. The reason is that raw bonito sashimi is left out for many days. You can buy fresh bonito sashimi that is neither frozen nor thawed. Depending on the day, it costs around 300 yen. You can tell from the bonito that the people in charge of purchasing here have a good eye for food. It's even more delicious than eating fishy thawed bonito sashimi at a restaurant. However, be careful: There are days when the cut is too thick. The best thickness for bonito sashimi is the standard thickness (although it varies from person to person), but some days it's so thick that it's almost disgusting, so it's possible that a different person than usual was cutting it on that day. (You can see that the surface is rough, probably due to poor cutting), so be careful on days when there are too thick items lined up. (After eating thawed or old food, there is a fishy smell coming from the nose) They don't have many vegetables, and the number of other items is limited, so compared to other Mainichi-ya stores, the store's square footage makes it difficult to find food. It's impossible, so I have no choice but to be patient. The items are carefully selected. The inside of the store is small, but on Saturdays and Sundays there are so many customers that people bump into each other inside the store. From noon to noon, it's crowded with office workers from the surrounding area who come to buy lunch, so the line at the cash register often stretches on and on, so it's best to avoid lunchtime. It's small, so compromise.

::This supermarket is located at the west end of Obiyamachi, a shopping street in the center of Kochi, across from Hirome Market. It's small, but perhaps because of the location, I feel like there's a lot of seafood. Tosa-maki = thick rolls of seared bonito, shiso leaves, and raw garlic, as well as a lot of bonito and tuna sashimi. If you buy wisely, you can definitely enjoy it at a cheaper price than Hirome Market.
KAZUYOSHI TAKAHASHI
::I went to Hirome Market to buy dinner during my stay, and the prices were pretty good. So, I went to this supermarket opposite Hirome Market. It was a supermarket after all, and I was able to get local products at a good price. Inaka sushi, seared bonito, dorome, pomelo, and Tosatsuru sake cost just over 1,000 yen. (^^)

::Food supermarket. Wide selection of groceries. I was surprised to find that they have shochu called Kinmiya. Bought Kinmiya and Tosa Sushi for dinner on a business trip. The sushi is delicious and I will use it again when I go on a business trip to Kochi.
