  I visited for the first time on my husband's birthday. From the time I called to make a reservation, they were very considerate, and even though I was pregnant, they took into consideration everything from caffeine to alcohol that had been heated. When he showed me to my seat, he put a blanket on my back cushion and my stomach! The food was very delicious, the vegetables were made with good ingredients, the fish had a crispy skin and a rich flavor even though it was plump, the pumpkin soup had a gentle and enveloping taste, and the sweets were very gentle with pears. The rich vanilla ice cream, the mousse with the sourness of the raspberries, and the freshly baked bread, warm and fluffy with just the right amount of salty butter, are the best. They also prepared a cake for my husband's birthday, and it was delicious with large fresh fruits and lightly sweetened whipped cream. I think I can get three more! It was a wonderful birthday, and they took pictures of us and the birthday cake. This is a first-class hotel, not only for its food but also for its staff's meticulous attention to detail! ! There is no dress code, so it was easy for me, a pregnant woman, to go there. Access was convenient as there was a free bus available via JR Nara and Kintetsu Nara. I would like to visit you again for a reward or anniversary. That's what I think.

  Had the breakfast set menus while staying here. You choose Japanese or Western. Both are set menus. Japanese comes with tea (no coffee, if you want it it will be a separate charge), the Western comes with coffee. Tried both and they were excellent. Service is impeccable too.

  French food was good, but not to the level I'd expect for the asking price so to an extent you're paying for the experience of being able to eat in a well-preserved wooden hotel. However the ambience and service are great.

  Very nice lunch set with reasonable price. Staff are friendly and patient with non Japanese speaking customers. Will come again to try dinner for sure

  The steaks are out of this world. Incredibly tender and delicious. And expensive.
