  This was probably one of the best accommodations I have stayed in out of all trips I've ever done. It's walking distance to the biggest town in Hakuba (restaurants, combini, onsen) and Happo One gondola... But you don't even need that because the lovely owner offers to drive you anywhere you want to go between 8am - 8pm! Location aside, the cottage was so cosy and purely made of wood. Very aesthetic inside and out. Very very well warmed with a heated floor and very comfy lay back single couches. Even comes with a mini air fryer type appliance to crisp up those combini pastries for breakfast! Please stay here, it'll be the best choice you make on your ski trip.

  We had a wonderful stay here for our time in Hakuba! The cottage itself was clean and cozy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We relied heavily on the transfer they provided so we did text a lot to the manager Toshi for scheduling the shuttle service and asking many questions since this was our first time skiing in Hakuba, and Toshi was always very patient and provided us detailed information. I also highly recommend booking their private bath!

  Stayed in a comfortable 4 bed cottage. Toshi and his wife made our stay very enjoyable, they were very helpful and kind. We were driven by Toshi or his wife to the ski fields and into town when needed. Hope to stay here again in the future!

  Stayed here for a few nights to go snowboarding. Hands down the BEST service I’ve received staying at any place. Toshi showed us around the area and provided instructions for using the fireplace. When we needed to go somewhere for food or groceries, or even the mountain, Toshi would always offer transportation there. Would definitely recommend! Log Cottage Epoch is one of the best in Hakuba!

  We stayed her in early January and thought the place was totally undersold online. The owners were very friendly and so helpful- they drove us to other ski resorts and into town to restaurants which was very helpful and made our trip less expensive. The cabins are lovely and well equipped. The location is great too. We particularly liked the massive private onsen - looking out over a private little snow garden whilst soaking in a massive hot tub was amazing after a day of skiing!
