島おこし奄美カレー
::My plan for a short drive 🚙 ended up in Shimogo Town, Minamiaizu District, Fukushima Prefecture!! It was lunch time, and I wanted to eat soba noodles. I found it at Farmhouse Restaurant Kyoya. It was located in the middle of a peaceful country road. I found it by searching on Google. If you just take the national highway normally I don't think I could find it. It is an old private house that has been renovated and feels secluded. Something feels good✨ I ordered Tenmori! It looked like Mont Blanc ✨ It was a set of chewy handmade 100% soba noodles and crispy vegetable tempura. It was very delicious. 😋😋😋 The atmosphere inside the store was very nice, and the staff was kind, so I was very happy. The store sold rice, vegetables, rice cakes, etc. Also get rice! 😉I was lucky♥ I wanted to go again.

::A very nice soba restaurant in such a place. Soba and sake are the best! The soba noodles here go very well with Arabashiri (sake). You can also enjoy tempura with asparagus, tsurumurasaki, and other varieties of mochi. The Junen Shingoro Mochi here is also exceptional! It's chewy because it's slowly grilled in an irori hearth. You'll be a little worried about going off the road, but it's okay because you'll know right away.

::This is a restaurant that serves delicious Juwari Soba. It is pronounced Kyoya. The chewy Juwari soba noodles and tempura made with seasonal vegetables are popular. My wife ordered the tempura, and I really wanted to try the three-color mochi and mori soba. The three-colored mochi is made with red bean paste, soybean paste, and perilla (sesame), and is freshly made and soft. There are very few shops that serve freshly made mochi. I was very satisfied with the food. The astringent skin ice cream I ordered as an after-meal dessert was also a big hit. The sweetness of the chestnuts and the rich flavor make this dish highly recommended. I was very satisfied with the lunch I had there, in a calm atmosphere.

::I went here on a weekday at 12:00 and I had to wait 5 minutes to get to my seat, so I can imagine the shop must get ridiculously busy at the weekends. It took a while for food to get brought to our table (20 minutes or so which is quite long for Japan) but the food was great, portions sizes were good (if a bit on the generous side). I read that the tempura was as good and can confirm it lived up to expectations. The food was made even tastier knowing that the owner(Muroi san) prepares all the soba noodles herself. The staff were nice even though they were busy. It was lovey looking out at the garden and sitting in the sun. All Japanese style tables so only tatami as far as I remember. No English menu.
