::This hotel was built in 1963 and it shows. While it has aged, the staff has kept it clean and functional. Its location is good as it is close to the old street and river where one can wander after the tourists are gone. Overall, a good experience.

::Very pleasant hotel next to the Old Town. The rooms are quite spacious with two individual beds and all facilities. An onsen is about 10 minutes away. There is a number of restaurants and shopping close by.

::This is a beautiful and historical hotel located right next to the old area of Kurashiki, with close links to the area and the art museum. They even have original art work decorating the hotel.I had a great stay here and my room was very comfortable, well equipped, relaxing and spacious. All the staff were friendly, very helpful and attentive (even the trainee staff were amazing). We also had breakfast here and that was extremely tasty, with a great selection and yet again the staff went above and beyond. The prices were reasonable considering the quality and the location.I would definitely stay here again when visiting Kurashiki. Thank you for everything.

::A nice hotel. Helpful staff. Staff Speak little English. Room size good. Lovely cool room to come back to. Temp 32 degrees. Expensive breakfast and meals. Plenty of other places to visit and a good supermarket close by. The supermarket have awesome sandwiches and plenty of options for meals. The hotel does not have a microwave.

::What a delightful find! A short walk from both the station and historical Bikan area. The hotel is nearly 60 years old and feels it - but in a good way - it is clearly from a different era. Rooms are huge by Japanese (and even some western) standards, clean, quiet and very well equipped. Rooms feature lots of wood features, as does the public foyer area, lending a warm and stately ambience. Staff are lovely - helpful and unhurried and finding someone with good English was never an issue. Overall, this is a charming, quiet and comfortable hotel. Quite a delightful experience.
