::Used for day trip hot springs. A building with a quiet appearance that gives you a sense of history. Although it is a little hot, the quality of the spring water is good and it is very warming. However, he is too unfriendly and his response is too bad. When we left, after handing over the valuables we had left with him, he quickly disappeared behind the scenes, and we didn't hear any greetings from him. I don't care about it either, so there's nothing more to it than that, but it's such a waste since the hot springs have such a nice atmosphere.

::We recommend staying here. The design of the 40-tatami-sized large hall used by the lords, which cannot be entered on a day trip to the hot springs, the cool verandah made of a single piece of natural Akita cedar, and the Renaissance-style staircase built in the Taisho era, are some of the things you won't be able to enjoy overnight. Because I can't see it. And a course of mitten crab (the same type as Shanghai crab) served in an ornately designed room. Crab miso is a great dish to drink with sake. Steamed egg custard with crab meat sauce - not sea crab, but a crab I've never tasted before. Crab karaage - fragrant and crab flavor. Crab fishball soup - a flavor you've never tasted before. I was able to enjoy the first and last taste to my heart's content. Since it is a private house that is not built as a hotel and is a registered tangible cultural property, the toilets and washrooms are shared, and there is no TV, but before this experience, I thought that these inconveniences were not a big deal. (There is WiFi, so you can watch the Net) Of course, the bath was also very warm and squeaky hot. Furthermore, in the summer open-air bath, there are noisy cicadas. This is the first time I've seen cicadas like this. It's not a 5 star hotel, but I think if Michelin came up they would give it a star.

::Beautiful and unique ryokan. If you are looking for the a typical ryokan this may not be the place for you, but it’s ramshackle charm is gorgeous and the town it sits in is very beautiful. One issue would be the room we booked was shown in the images to have a balcony, however not all in this category have this feature. That slight disappointment aside, the food is delicious, the family very friendly and the onsen being private and salt water is the most unique I’ve seen in Japan. A great experience indeed!

::Highlight of my 3 weeks in Japan. Absolutely Love this place. The family is so friendly and wonderful, the food is oishii. Gorgeous gardens and hot tubs. 2 thumbs up.

::I stayed at the ryokan and had the wonderful dinner here. It is a 98 years old house with beautiful onsens. The food was delicious and the ryokan is lovely. Will bring friends here next time!
