  When you visit the lobby, they serve excellent tea which you can enjoy while waiting. The room is clean, and the bed arrangement is fantastic. When you open the curtains, you will be surprised by the stunning view from the balcony. Cons: during night I can hear some noises coming from either outside the room or the other room. So far staying for a night was a great experience. Breakfast: I Enjoyed the breakfast The serving and service were so great, especially the food. Additionally, they provide a shuttle bus service at certain times, which is very convenient.

  A landmark of Kobe. Rooms towards 4 directions (north, south, east, and west) have different view. I stayed in a room toward north this time and the city view was magnificent. Room was clean and comfortable. The location is a bit isolated but there is a family mart in hotel on 3F.

  I’m writing this review while I’m sleep deprived because of the noise problem at this hotel. I stayed here for 2 nights. The first night way okay, the second one is a nightmare. I went to the bathroom at 6 am and tried to sleep again, however I couldn’t because there were noise of people walking, running, objects dropping to the ground, knocking on things, moving objects to the ground……i had my sleep earplug but it didn’t help with these low frequency muffled noise. I checked the hallway but no one was there. The noise came from other rooms, I had no idea which one because the noise was so constant that i believe there were multiple. This hotel looks decent but the walls are paper thin. After a long day trip I just wanted to rest but the noise made me only slept 5 hours. Wouldn’t recommend.

  Honestly was pretty disappointed with our stay at Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel. For a 4 star hotel it was very dirty and outdated. The location is great and the views of the harbor are amazing. But our room was noticeably not very clean. Things that could easily be wiped clean were dirty (see pics for example). The floor didn't look like it had even been vacuumed. The service was average but compared to other places we've stayed in Japan was not as good. I think you can find much better value elsewhere.

  The walk from the subway is a little bit of a hike but not too bad. The view from the room is beautiful at night with all the lights. We stayed in Room 1336 which is spacious and has a wrap around balcony. The room is updated with plenty of outlets to charge devices. I have always dreamed of staying at this hotel and I was not disappointed. When we walked into the room, my husband's first reaction was that it was "swanky".
