::I'm from the USA so I just feel comfy having a kouban (police box) nearby whenever I travel. But this place - heck, the entire country - is seemingly without crime, so these guys must be really bored. And that's a GOOD THING. But they are incredibly helpful and have provided me with directions and restaurant suggestions a few times - so it isn't like they have nothing to do. Giving them five stars because they pointed me to a few places on my first trip, had someone who understood a little English (all I needed) and were just so, so damn nice. I really wanted to shake their hands to thank them but the one I was talking to had gloves on, and... to be honest I took that as a sign I shouldn't be trying to touch him. So I bowed deeply every time. Best kouban anywhere.
