::Tokachidake Onsen is located in Kamifurano Town, this village is too far. only rent a car to drive to this place. but it's worth to stay here. Refresh your mind and body in the natural environment surrounded by the virgin forest and the indoor bath and open-air bath finished with cypress. The sunset from the open-air bath boasting a view is exquisite. A hot spring village at an altitude of 1200m where you can private touch the stars they offer traditional Japanese-style accommodations with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon.

::Great baths (1 indoor & 1 outdoor) with a snowy forest view. No private showers, so you'll need to use the public baths. Amazing mountain views. Very serene. Popular with back-country skiing caravan-campers. Traditional Japanese rooms and bedding. Coin laundry and dry room for ski gear is available in the basement. Isolation in the mountains means transport is a bit tricky. There's a bus that runs 3 times daily to Kamifurano town centre/JR station. Don't miss it - the bus is very punctual! The trip costs Ā„500 each way (or you can get a voucher from the hotel front desk that gets you the trip for free). Breakfast: - Open 07:00-09:00 - Buffet hot and continental options Dinner: - Open 18:00-20:00 - Options - Ā„1500 buffet, or Ć la carte (I recommend the BBQ) General advice - please be polite and friendly! The staff are lovely. Shoes off in the lobby. No food or drinks in the baths - and please keep conversation volume down, so others can also enjoy the tranquil baths.

::An old style (not traditional) onsen motel. Don't come here if you are looking for a luxury one. The staffs are great! Dinner set is OK but with a great sunset view. A peaceful bathing location. An excellent place for viewing stars at night.

::Nice out door hot spring with a beautiful view. Clean Japanese style room. the entire hotel looks and feels like a school with fluorescent lights everywhere. Service was business-like and not particularly friendly. The septic tanks in the back yard is the eye sore to the stunning view you see from the dining room windows. I don't like any hotel where toilet paper holders are decorated with frilly grandma covers. I will find somewhere else to stay next I go there.

::Stayed there for two nights. Room is decently clean and recently renovated. The view in both the room and at the onset are breathtaking. You are sitting on top of the mountain and occasionally above the cloud! Dinner was great too.... Food were very tasty and in par with many onsen resort standard.
