Since it was Sunday and my family doctor wasn't working, I had no choice but to call this hospital and give them a quick summary to see if there was a need for a visit, but they said, ``The emergency department is busy responding, so please call.'' "cannot be connected." So why are you using your phone? If you can't even make a 5-minute phone call, isn't it impossible to get a medical treatment? ? ? ? However, I was asked, "Can you come to the emergency room?" Huh? ? That's what it felt like. If things were like that, I wouldn't have known how many hours I'd have to wait even if I went to see a doctor, and more than anything, I was annoyed by the man on the phone, so I stopped going.

It was my first time being admitted into a Japanese hospital. I gave birth here in December and received excellent care in the obstetrics and gynecology department. Although my Japanese language skills are not that great, I was happy that I could receive exceptional and top- notch medical care in English. , after confirming my pregnancy at a smaller clinic Initially, I was asked which clinic I wanted to receive prenatal care and deliver at and was given the choice of recommended clinics near my home; however, after I disclosed some key information about my previous premature labor and complication with my firstborn son, I was asked to choose a hospital over a clinic as hospitals here are better equipped to handle medical emergencies with mother and baby. In Hawaii, there aren't maternity clinics like there are here where women give birth- -there are only medical centers or home births. It's one of the reasons why I also decided on a hospital versus a clinic. I had only been to the Red Cross Hospital once two years prior for a joint DAT volunteer event with the American Red Cross, but had never actually been a patient. I decided to choose this hospital and was given a referral. And even though there's the pandemic, I appreciate that appointments are relatively easy to make. The atmosphere is exceptionally clean and pleasant in the outpatient and inpatient side, despite being a hospital. My husband and I are appreciative that there's a good restaurant and family mart! Being busy in the morning, we often skipped breakfast but were always able to grab a delicious drink or warm meal easily. I also appreciated the fact that the family mart stocks maternity items such as nipple shields or postpartum pads which was very helpful when I needed it. Everything from the first phone call to set up my initial appointment, my hospital stay, to my last postpartum checkup was excellent and I'm forever grateful for the care my daughter and I received. Okinawa Red Cross Hospital is an acute care hospital located in the center of Naha City, behind the Naha Police Station, across the street from the former Naha Civic Center, and next to the Naha City Public Health Center. The building is a seven-story rectangular building with long sides running east and west. The parking lot is a four-story multistory parking lot located behind the hospital. It is not visible from the main road, so it may be difficult to understand for first-time visitors. Please note that the entrance to the premises is on the side of the health center and there is one-way traffic going around the left. From the perspective of the medical treatment system, the palliative care ward, which opened in July 2018, is distinctive. The palliative care wards responsible for end-of-life care in the prefecture include Mount Olive Hospital (Shuri, Naha City), Adventist Medical Center (Nishihara Town), Tomigusuku Central Hospital (formerly Nanbu Hospital), and National Okinawa Hospital (Ginowan City). ), but both are quite far away for residents of Naha City. The opening of the facility at the Okinawa Red Cross Hospital in Yogi, Naha City is of great significance in terms of the time and transportation costs involved in visiting patients. Furthermore, it is a specialized medical institution certified by the government as an epilepsy center hospital, and the only one in the prefecture that performs surgical operations for epilepsy, which is of great significance to patients and their families suffering from epileptic seizures. I think that the. (See website for details) The drawbacks are that the parking lot fee is high compared to other hospitals, and that there is no 24-hour emergency response. 2021/02/14

2 years ago, I was not feeling well and went for a test without having a referral letter! I was immediately hospitalized. The patient was suffering from intestinal inflammation, but after 10 days, his progress was good and he was able to be discharged from the hospital without incident. Although it was a female doctor, I would appreciate it if she would give me a thorough and strict examination. February 14, 2020 Dad has surgery! Like a regular customer, I went to various departments. Now, I have recovered well and am discharged from the hospital in good health. Thank you to all the staff 😊 The members of the Red Cross cooperate with our activities in the Yogi area on a daily basis. Thanks ^_^
