::For a fine dining restaurant, the service was mediocre. I don't eat seafood so i asked if I could still go ahead with the set menu but the restaurant could change some dishes to accommodate my food restrictions (most fine dining would be able to oblige). The waiter had to asked the chef who said he was unable to. In that case, i asked the waiter for advice because my husband was still ordering the set menu, and i wanted to be able to pace him. But the food portions are too big and so the waiter only recommended me a vegetable dish and then a meat dish. So more than half the meal, i would just be watching my husband eat, or having bites of his food which were clear of seafood. Was quite unpleasant We sat at the counter and it was also quite underwhelming. The chef did not even smile at us or acknowledge us, even when we left. Food was good but honestly nothing super noteworthy (especially for the price).

::Absolutely incredible dining experience! I’m a celiac and they made each dish gf for me. Every dish was amazing. Best steak I’ve ever had!

::Came here for lunch with high hopes given the positive reviews of this place. We ordered 2 beef sets and 1 seafood set. The beef set was ok only. The seafood set was pathetically small and comprised one prawn delicately balanced on one abalone. Service is mediocre at best with no explanations of the food whatsoever. What made things worse was that the cod fish was clearly undercooked yet the Indian male server made no efforts to apologise and questioned us in an interrogational manner as to how the fish was undercooked. He then proceeded to use a fork to poke at our fish. The proper approach in any fine dining restaurant will be to send the fish back to the kitchen for verification. After the chef cooked the fish with a flame torch, the server brought the fish back to us with no apologies whatsoever. The service truly leaves much to be desired. When we finally ate the fish, we found to our aghast many fish bones (see photo) which is completely unacceptable. By this time, we were too tired to speak to the server anymore. Will not come back again.

::This is a delicious set or a la carte menu focused on wagyu with options for seafood. The set menu as of this week in August was a tuna carpaccio appetizer with relish (delicious!), a large radish with garlic flavoring (weirdly wow), sea bass, and a wagyu steak of your choice with veggies. The garlic rice is amazing, definitely get it. The restaurant seems understaffed as the staff were hustling but be patient and you’ll be rewarded with an absolutely wonderful meal! Try it

::Party of 2, walk-in on a Wednesday lunchtime in mid-April with no reservation. Warmly welcomed and seated at window table. Service was friendly and attentive. Lunch menu was exquisite throughout, and we accompanied it with white and red Italian wines. This was a delightful discovery in the town of Gora, and situated next to the lovely botanical and craft gardens. Yen12,000 for 2 people - one of the best lunches this year. Nobu has very very high standards. Highly recommended. David W, April 2024
