::As a European I was hesitant to visit an Irish bar. But it was great to see friendly japanese people. So the HUB chain might be a good opportunity to meet locals.

::We like going to the Hub Pub because they have a great happy hour and it's reliable. This one specifically had a bad odor when you went downstairs (maybe a sewage problem?) but after a few minutes we got used to it. We nicknamed it "stinky hub" on our trip so it was memorable at least! Haha. Staff was nice enough and it's a good value. Nice to be able to relax after a lot of walking around. Good for tourists that need a break from the local scene. Highly recommend the fried pasta snack it was surprisingly good.

::Since visiting Japan we have become locals in HUB pubs because of decent drinks and prices. Our staple diet is Punk and Edamame beans. Unfortunately at this establishment the Punk was warm. Also the beans were room temperature too. Had I been home soil I would have pointed this out but not sure of the etiquette here so simply moved on. It’s a shame. Don’t let this put you off HUB pubs, they’re usually great

::Located in Shinsaibashi, this is a fun British Pub chain. It opens at 4:30pm which is a perfect time to come and have a drink or two during happy hour and have a bite to eat. Member cards save you 5%. Food is decent but not excellent. The fried chicken 🍗 or the pizza 🍕 is recommended. We will come again!

::If you are looking for somewhere relaxed and fun to sit and have a beer, then HUB is a great choice. The staff are friendly and helpful, there are English friendly menus, and there is a great variety of beverages to choose from. If you want to watch some football and have a beer, then this is a great place to visit.
