::Despite being a 2-star hotel, it pleasantly exceeded my expectations. The lobby impresses with its spaciousness and cleanliness, and the staff are friendly and helpful. While the room is generally good, the bathroom shows some signs of age but remains acceptable. The room itself doesn't appear overly dated and offers standard amenities. Although it's not incredibly close to the station, it's within a walkable distance. Keep in mind that there's a large public bath, but it's exclusively available for men. Lastly, they offer complimentary udon from 21:30 to 22:30, a thoughtful service, though I can't vouch for the taste as I haven't tried it myself. One comment is the bed is too hard.

::Comfortable stay at the Taisei. Staff were helpful and welcoming. The extensive bath and sauna facilities for guests were also really appreciated.

::Room was a bit old and dirty. There was some mold on the side of the tub and when I ran water in the tub, some dirt/grime came up from the drain. Other than that, service was excellent. There's free udon downstairs for patrons in the hotel. Also, it is very close (under 5 mins) from the main station (Kagoshima-Chuo) so very convenient for early morning or tired travelers.

::Located within a 6 minutes walk from Kagoshima Chuo station. It’s nearby to a few of Kagoshima historical attractions and it’s right next to the tram stop. A pretty decent place to stay with friendly staff and no worries they can speak English. They serve a complimentary Udon for their guest everyday from 9:30pm-10:30pm. Their check in time is 3pm and checkout time is 11am. They have spa on the ground floor that’s unfortunately only for men. You could take the tram or do a 20-30 minutes straight walk from the hotel to go to the downtown place. Across the hotel is the famous Izakaya street style eateries known as TOGO which unfortunately will be closed by the end of this year. It’s also nearby restaurants and shopping mall. There’s a nearby city bicycle rental area near the riverside park or from the station that you could rent to cycle around town.

::My two night stay was quite comfortable and enjoyable here. The rooms are clean and proper, the facilities the hotel offers should fulfill all of your needs. It is only a two minute walk from the station with a department store within the same distance. As an added bonus, they serve free udon as late night snacks.
