::The reception staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. They were always smiling and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. But I was very disappointed with the breakfast service. The staff seemed more interested in chatting amongs themselves than in helping guests. And they not refill the food even though there were still have time left before breakfast service was due to end. Additionally, I felt that the staff was not particularly welcoming to foreign guests. They seemed to have a negative attitude towards me and other non-Japanese speakers. This was very unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. Overall, I would not recommend breakfast. The food is average, but the service is simply not good enough.I hope that the hotel will take these suggestions into consideration and make some changes to improve the breakfast service.

::Great staff and service. Within short walking distance to Tsukuba bus and rail center. Excellent breakfast buffet. Close to fine dining.

::I stayed here while in town for a business conference and enjoyed my stay. The room is a bit different than I am used to in the US but it was very clean and had pretty everything I needed other than a few extra pillows. Things are set up a bit differently in Japan but it was no issue it just took a little getting used to; the bed, bathroom sink, and toilet were all low but manageable and the bathroom tub wall was pretty high. I learned that baths are more common than showers apparently. One thing I have to mention here is I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff was at this hotel. They helped me find a local grocery store to pick up some things and even walked out to the street to help me find it. They brought extra pillows to my room within minutes after I called to request them. They also provided an umbrella me to use one day when it was rainy. They were always willing to answer my questions with such a pleasant attitude. Thank you to all the staff here!

::This is an older Hotel but the rooms are clean and good size for single room. My room has a writing desk a lounge chair a mini refrigerator and a coffee maker. I'm getting a convention rate which is a real bargain and it includes an incredibly great breakfast buffet that has both Western and Japanese food choices.
