  We have just completed a two-nights stay in the Hotel Metropolitan Nagano for our vacation. A solid 4-stars hotel located right at JR Nagano Station, making day trips outside Nagano extremely easy for us. Finding opportunities for shopping, food and drinks is extremely easy. The hotel is very well-maintained and clean, even though it is showing its age. The check-in staff are very friendly and some are very proficient in English. The room we have bought was the deluxe room located on a high floor with amazing views of the alps and the city centre. The room was of sufficient size, and housekeeping was of very high standards. Coupled with the reasonable room rates (we were travelling off season in late summer), this hotel presents an excellent value for us. Due to the popularity of the hotel for tour groups, the breakfast while well managed by the staff, was very crowded. The food (especially the wonderful coloured breads) was of good quality, but the breakfast crowds made it an Eat-and-Go eating experience for us.

  This hotel is situated at the best location, which connects with Midori department store and Nagano train station. The hotel itself contains nice facilities, restaurants and bars. There was an underground car parking cost 1000 yen per night. If we visit this city or area again will definitely come to stay here. The service is excellent also promotes eco friendly options.

  This hotel is fantastic. Incredibly responsive to emails; staff was so helpful. Rooms and facilities were a little dated but thats understandable given the age. Location is amazing - next to JR and opposite Alpico; near many great restaurants. I’d definitely stay here again if I come back to Nagano.

  This hotel has the BEST location. It is right near the train station!! Best location for those coming to go see the snow monkeys as the tour leaves from a couple of minutes stroll from your hotel room. The buffet for breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The shopping centre connects to the hotel which is good for food and snacks. The room was a reasonable size and the view of the mountain was amazing! There is a washing machine on level 8. You need 100 yen coins to operate. The TV is very old technology. Buy a tv card from near the lifts to watch movies. Bed was comfortable.

  Fantastic location. 2 Min walk from 長野駅. Staff able to speak very well in English. Breakfast is not crowded even at 7.30 am. There is sake to try. The room is very big for 2 with lots of amenities. Good security as needed card to use the lift. There is only one coin laundry at level 8. Must book in advance and get the key from the reception. Takes about 2 hr to finish washing and dry. The hotel is link to Mi Do Ri. Remember to walk over the other side of Mi Do Ri for more shopping. There is a 無印良品there.
