  The price was great for 4 nights, the location was great, and the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the praise ends there. The rooms are dated, and there aren't too many electric plugs. The walls are very thin. There is only central heat. So if it was a warmer day, you had to open the window to be comfortable.The worst of all was the bathroom. It was moldy, and had a very strong mold/mildew odor that made me feel ill by the end of the stay. Stay if you are on a tight budget, but stay with caution.

  Older staffs were rude in this chain hotel; no smile, not welcoming, lied to us about the fact that our room being non smoking when we could smell the STENCH of cigarettes in that whole floor and room especially. Integrity, honesty, and hospitability is a must in hospitality and service industry. On the other hand, the younger ones seem more hospitable and welcoming. We were moved to their other chain hotel (again the older reception was rude, and younger staffs were friendlier) and got charged same price as original booking despite location is further from station and original website stated price is almost half of what we originally paid. Felt cheated and definitely will not recommend. I have given many other full rating and this is one that I would give 1 star.

  Americans often find the Japanese culture baffling & stand-offish, but SO not true! Different, yes, but go with an open heart & you will fall in love with this engaging culture. Hotel Green Mark was very comfortable, courteous and helpful. The location is about 3 blocks from the train/bus station, which was easy to get to without taking a taxi. Beds very comfortable, smallish rooms, but we left early every morning. Excellent breakfast that stood us well until late afternoon. You can walk to the open air market, there's a huge shopping arcade about 6 blocks away, with a huge Daiso (dollar store) great for souvenirs. Also the Parco mall with trendy upmarket fashions, cool make-up counters, fab costume jewelry. The food court there has great quick meals where you can grab a fast bite or longer meal. Hotel Green Mark was very affordable, gracious, and welcoming. Their breakfast buffet had excellent Japanese and Western selections. Delicious potato salad for breakfast?! Hey, when in Japan....! I miss it now that I'm home!

  Hotel Green Mark is a great hotel for a short stay in Sendai. It is close to the station as well as to Gold's Gym for those that want access to a good gym. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly. Also, they offer a great continental breakfast.

  Great location near train station. Small rooms as expected in Japan. Breakfast was great with good variety. They were out of nonsmoking rooms when we checked in so that was disappointing but overall a good experience.
