::The rooms are nice and the price for the room is fair but everything else is overpriced. It's a pity that the pool is closed. But the biggest downer is the gym: totally run-down with equipment from the 90s, often no AC and bad air and you still have to pay 600 JPY per head and day! Crazy.

::The ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki offers great views and traditional bed styles. You can walk along the beach to Aoshima Island. However, you have to walk a considerable distance to find nearby restaurants.

::Very friendly staff with huge smiles. We were greeted by the car park, escorted to the lifts and checked in at the first floor reception. The receptionists explained all the facilities of the hotel and as a club member, gave us a voucher for free drinks. Which we forgot to use! The rooms have been updated and are well maintained and ours had a good view out to the sea. The hotel is a short walking distance to Aoshima island and shrine. There were lots of surfers in seaside in front of the hotel, catching the waves until way after sunset.

::The hotel is at a great location. Nice view of the ocean from the room. If you like to surf, the surf break is just right in the front. The service is ok. When I first got here they told me that I didn’t mention there are two people staying and that they will charge me extra. When I booked the hotel I asked for ocean view and regular room. I specifically did not ask for a Japanese style room and they gave me one. Then I asked for a regular room and they gave me another room which was not ocean view. Before leaving the counter I asked is this ocean view and they said yes. That was a lie. Went back and requested again for a regular room and ocean view which they ended up giving us one. There needs to be more accountability and honoring the customers request.
