  Until 7pm. I stopped by because the website said they had Asahi Town's wines. There were quite a variety. Local sake is also cold. I'm satisfied because I was able to buy it cheaper than the souvenir corner at a nearby hot spring.

  Although it's not a seaside town, you can find seafood such as shark hearts and fresh sashimi that you won't find in major supermarkets. The side dishes made by the staff are also delicious.

  Quaint supermarket in Asahimachi. It was somewhat dark when I went (energy saving?) yet otherwise no complaints. There's a decent assortment of locally grown vegetables and locally raised beef and pork, along with fresh seafood. The premade meals all looked great and had a decidedly homemade look to them. Prices seemed high on some items and low/average on others.
