::Room : Clean, comfortable, affordable and spacious (Good for 2pax). It is a studio type apartment. There is a washing machine and mini kitchen to prepare light meals ( “Marushoku マルショクやまなみ店” A local supermarket that is walkable from the apartment. 5-7 minutes walking. ) I will definitely come back again in the future if I am visiting Beppu! Please take note there are no shower/bath facilities in the toilet but there are a lot of public bathhouses nearby. Public sento 1) 谷の湯 - 150yen (open till 9pm) just behind the apartment. 1 minute walking. (I personally like this sento more than the big one because the water quality here is better and the crowd are lesser. The bath pool is very rustic. Remind me of Showa era Anime. 2) Hyotan Onsen (public/family room available) - 1020yen (open till 1am). 5 minutes walk from the apartment. * There are alot of sento nearby which cost ard 150yen-200yen (non touristy but tattoos okay!) Just walk in, usually they do not have a reception you can just drop the money to the box place at the entrance table and proceed to the pool. * Coin Laundry (24 hrs) - CoroCoroコインランドリー別府やまなみ店 : 10 minutes walking from the apartment. Just opposite the local supermarket. Anytime Fitness (Gym 24hrs) & lawson (convenience store 24hrs) are in the same building. This self laundromat already includes detergent. Infamous Jigoku Hell Tour - The apartment is located in the heart of Kannawa as it is relatively close to the supermarket, convenient store, laundromat, Mcdonalds, onsen & sento and also the Jigoku hell tour! Im telling you it is only a 10 mins walk to the Shiraike Jigoku. Public transportation - 6 minutes walk to Kannawa bus stop 1 & 2 ( Bus stop 1 bound to Beppu station) / You can purchase the kamenoi bus all day pass $22 from the tourist information hub located at Kannawa bus stop 2. With the pass you can travel to yufuin in less than 1 hour. From the same bus station you can also board the bus directly to Fukuoka Airport. Food must try - Toriten (Tempura Chicken) - Jigokumushi Kobo (Self steam veggies and meat) - Soy sauce pudding - Onsen Tamago - Dango Jiru (assorted veggies cook in miso soup with slices pork meat) Do not miss the onsen steam night view (Yukemuri light up). It happens on every weekend & public holidays. The steam rising from the Kannawa hot spring is illuminated. The apartment host was very accommodating. The guides he provided were helpful for my 3 days 2 nights trip! 素晴らしい滞在をありがとうございました！

::We've felt at home! The owner is so kind and helpful! The apartment has two big spaces. It has a perfect location in a quiet area. So clean and it has all you need, towels, well equipped kitchen, tea and coffee... There's no bath but you can find many public hot springs around (free and and 100 yen). 500% recommend! We'll definitely be back!

::Nice place to stay. Cheap price and they have everything inside the room (fast and stable free wifi) and a kitchen except bathroom, you need to go outside to a nearby onsen to have a bath. Good location, there are many good onsen around the place, there are buses near and a super market. Thank you, I will come again next time:).

::Basic but had everything we needed, no showers, there are great onsens a walk away, wifi and heating were good. Host was very helpful, we teccomend the yufu mountain hike also

::Wonderful, wonderful experience. We stayed in the Guest Room in the main house. It is the entire upper floor, with a beautiful sleeping room, living room, restroom and wrap around deck. The decor is so lovely-- we felt so rested and relaxed. The rain made our night so cozy. And, we even got to pet the Happy Neko! ^ - ^
