::If there’s a line out there at this restaurant, it’s worth lining up. It went pretty quick for me. The pork belly and intestine side dish tasted delicious, soft and flavorful.

::This place is absolutely wonderful... Perfect hole in the wall where all the famous have gone judging by the autographs on the wall. Wait outside for your turn... Put you yen in the machine... Pick what you want (drink and food) and be seated. The food is perfect and there are so many great people.

::I recently visited Hamaya Soba and found the experience to be somewhat underwhelming. The food was mediocre, which might make it a suitable choice for first-time soba eaters, but seasoned fans of soba might be disappointed. The broth was more reminiscent of a ramen broth rather than the distinct bonito flavor one typically expects from soba. While the pork was cooked to perfection in terms of texture, it lacked any depth of flavor beyond just plain pork. Overall, Hamaya Soba may serve as a decent introduction to soba for newcomers, but it falls short of delivering the rich and authentic experience that more experienced soba enthusiasts would appreciate.

::The best soba on Okinawa! This place is always busy and is a staple if you are on island. Sunabe is full of great eats, but when you want comfort soup, Okinawa soba is where it’s at! The price point is great. This restaurant has maintained its consistency since I first visited in the early 2000s. Parking is only street parking, but that’s pretty normal with Sunabe.
