  Just spent 8 nights. Very good breakfast with variations everyday. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a triple room with proper beds. Spacious. Although possible a bit dated, room and beds get comfortable. Good Onsen. Also a private Onsen, but didn’t try it. A few mins walk to the Happo central bus station, with connections to all the resorts. And a few mins walk to eateries too.

  We loved staying in our traditional-style room, which included several ways to stay warm and the softest feather duvets! The stand-out experiences for us were the private onsen, generous breakfasts and the beautiful snowy weather ❄️ Our hosts were lovely and very helpful.

  I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Hakuba. The most charming, cozy ryokan nestled in the mountains. I dream of the seasonal buffet breakfast and the onsen is amazing after a day on the slopes. The owner is lovely and goes out of his way to help you in whatever you need. He does everything around the ryokan and works tirelessly to ensure a perfect experience. Hotel Ougiya forever!

  Our favourite hotel, stayed here twice and will stay here again. Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is great, and onsen is very comfortable. Convenient to Happo-one, shuttle bus to other resorts right outside the door.

  My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Hakuba Ougiya. It was a delight to use the onsen within the hotel after spending cold days on the mountain. The room was clean, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. On the night before our departure, a heavy snowfall graced the area. Seizing the opportunity, we decided to ski until noon to enjoy the fresh powder. Upon our return, the hotel owner generously offered to drive us to the bus terminal. They also coordinated with the ski rental company for the return of our skis. Overall, we were immensely satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to our friends.
