    Shinichi thank YOU!! That was a very special evening. We were super impressed how you managed everything alone! Cooking, Serving, Sommelier, and Explaining everything! And your cooking is exquisite! It is hard to choose what was our favorite. And the wine pairing was excellent, especially the cold fish and grapefruit dish and the orange wine.

    A very nice casual French restaurant. This time I asked for the 10,000 yen course. The chef cooks all the dishes by himself, and each dish is filled with ingenuity, attention to detail, and humor. For example, the shiitake mushroom quiche is called Shitakesh🤣! You will be amazed by the aroma the moment you take a bite. The real pleasure of traveling was the squid, octopus, and fish caught in Nagasaki. The wine selection was from a wide range of natural wines, including French and Italian wines, and we ordered them by the bottle and paired them with them. A store I definitely want to go to again.

    If you want to eat French food created with passion and dedication, you'll enjoy the place. The owner is very communicative. The only little cons is that you can't be fully efficient at cooking and a the service in same time. He's doing all by himself. The Chef senses will not let you indifferent, you will like or not, his wine pairing can surprise some and you could enjoy the place very much.

    Simple but elegant. One of the best french restaurant in Nagasaki. This one man operated restaurant got 1 michelin star in 2019. French cuisine with Japanese local ingredient create the light but complicate flavor. Chef Shinichi Otsubo like to put local vegetable and wild flower to the dish. What you will eat always change though the season. And the tasting course will be created on the day upon the available ingredient. This casual fine dining restaurant has a relax atmosphere and the chef also very freindly. Although, there are some lacking of service as only the chef working in the kitchen and serve the dish by himself. Which I can imagine how tough of work he had to do all the thing alone. By the way, this kind of restaurant is something you want to comeback for a really good food and atmosphere.

    Exquisite French bistro worth travelling to Nagasaki for, even if you live in Europe! Recommended by a foodie friend of mine and my goodness he was right!! Beautiful, creative and inspiring cuisine with ideas from the Japanese Kaiseki, made with local ingredients from Nagasaki and Kyushu. Modest but very good wine selection, including ones from up and coming Japanese wineries. Its a small bistro (15-20 ppl max?) with no waiter so don't expect a Michelin star service, but the food is certainly of that quality. UPDATE: it has won a Michelin star*!
