Even though the treatment time is limited by insurance, it is absolutely necessary to explain what kind of treatment will be performed before starting the treatment. In particular, when it came to root canal treatment, there was no explanation at all about the most important risks to the tooth (poor prognosis and shortened tooth life) by removing the nerve before the treatment. Once a tooth has been removed, it will never grow back, and when it comes to pulp extraction, it is best not to follow the dentist's instructions. Even if we can recommend removal of the nerve, there are limits to what insurance treatment can provide, so we recommend a dentist who will take the time and effort to preserve the nerve at your own expense. Nowadays, there are many ways to learn about dental treatment on the internet and YouTube, so patients should study too. In any case, choose your dentist carefully! !
