I have eaten at several other restaurants, but I think Daikokuya Hanten's grilled pork and egg rice is the most advanced. If you are trying grilled pork and egg rice for the first time, or if you would like to try a few more, I think this is a good place to start. There are other menu items, but I haven't tried them yet.   I came here to try grilled pork and egg, which is a specialty of Imabari. It was a large amount and I was glad it was mini. I thought it would be great if they could reduce the quantity and lower the price.

  The grilled pork and egg rice was delicious. I liked a lot of pepper. However, I was disappointed that the fried chicken I ordered together did not drain well and was dripping with oil, making it taste bitter.

  This is a Chinese restaurant in Imabari. However, this restaurant may be more famous for its grilled pork and egg rice than its Chinese menu. Grilled pork and egg rice is one of Imabari's B-class gourmet dishes, and is a hearty bowl of rice topped with chashu pork and a fried egg. Daikokuya's grilled pork and egg rice is topped with chopped chashu pork, which is used in ramen, and a fried egg. Mayonnaise is available as a paid option. Another feature is that when you add a large serving of rice, the number of fried eggs increases from the default 2 to 3. As for the taste, don't underestimate it, it's class B. This is a complete dish served as a rice bowl. It's the perfect balance of flavor and volume. The sweet and salty taste of the char siew goes perfectly with the mild taste of the fried egg. Also, as recommended by the owner, the mayonnaise gives it a nice flavor. Honestly, it's more delicious than I expected. Until I ate it, I was a bit scoffing that it was a B grade, but after eating it, I realized my mistake. This restaurant also sells fried chicken for 150 yen each, which is also quite delicious. It's large, but if you order it as a side dish, one piece is enough. I think two is enough. I don't think many people come to Imabari from outside the country, but if you do, it's definitely a dish you should try.
