  The room was clean, the amenities were plentiful, the staff seemed kind, and I felt it was a good deal for the price. There are only two things I'm concerned about... The loungewear was somehow sticky to the touch, and when I smelled it, it smelled like an old man, so I didn't put it through my sleeves and gently pushed it out of bed... Also, although the women's public bath is on the second floor and out of sight of the staff, there was no password key or lock in the women's bath.This is done at other chain business hotels, so I unconsciously felt safe. There was one, but the thought of not having one made me feel very anxious, so I gave up on the public bath (the women's public bath only had one large bathtub and no sauna, but it was clean and had a water server and amenities) ) Although the price is low, the rooms are clean and have plenty of amenities, so I think it is worth more than the price. The above two things made me scared, so I decided to stay somewhere I felt safe, even if it was a bit expensive. My impression is that it is no more than a traditional low-priced hotel for men's businessmen. Especially not recommended for young women.

  This is a rare hotel, located 3-4 minutes walk from Toyama Station, where you have to take off your shoes. The room has tatami mats, a low desk, and a bed, giving you a Japanese atmosphere. For breakfast, it may have been a coincidence, but the vegetables used in the menu were uneven, and both the stews and miso soup had daikon radish, and the taste was monotonous. I like the concept of taking off your shoes, but it was a shame that there was a bad odor on the first floor, probably because there were people who were really smelly.

  It's my fourth time returning to Toyama, but the first time staying in WAQ Concept Hotel. I didn't really expect too much when I made the booking online, but it turned out to be an amazing experience. The room was clean and comfortable, the facilities were great (though I preferred to take the bath in my own bathroom). The food in the breakfast buffet was simple, but good enough to prepare you to hike at Tateyama.

  Conveniently close to station, but many rules and kind of strange. Like they wanted to make a copy of my passport, saying it is a law. My Japanese wife told them it can't be because no other hotel required that and so refused. Also we accidently ended up in a smoking room. The room is tatami and kind of cool, but not recommended for foreigners!

  A unique stay concept indeed! No high seating, minimalist arrangements arranged on the floor, almost zen-like. The flooring is made out of bamboo carpet and one feels an immediate sense of peace upon entering the room. Creates a feeling of home and restful ambience! Highly recommended stay option in Toyama, very close to the station.
