  On this day, I came to Niigata to see my son return to Sapporo, where he was boarding, by boat from Niigata Port. Since the ship departs late at night, it would be a pain to drive to my hometown, which is about 250km away, so I decided to stay at a hotel in front of Niigata Station and was thinking of having some tea at a cafe in front of the station. The store I was thinking of at first wasn't open, perhaps because I had read the business hours incorrectly, so I hurriedly looked for it and found this store. Although it is located in front of Niigata Station, it is a small shop located in an alley. A warm incandescent bulb can be seen from inside. When I opened the small door, inside the store was a woman who looked pretty enough to be called Mama, and a couple who were having a friendly conversation. I ordered some apple tea and drank it leisurely in the soft atmosphere of the three people's conversation, which I couldn't help but hear.The aroma of apples and the slight sweetness of the tea healed my tiredness from today. When I finished drinking the tea and said, ``Thank you for the meal,'' my mom asked, ``Would you like to have an espresso?'' The three of us were excited about the topic of espresso, so we decided to share it. I'm very happy to receive this invitation. ``I was wondering if I could invite you,'' Mom said shyly, and the couple smiled and invited them into the conversation. As I listened to the three of them talk, I occasionally interjected my own stories, and before I knew it, the topic had shifted from the direction of the espresso flavor to the direction of the restaurant.   CHIOSCO is located on the first floor of the Foresight Hanazono Building, just outside the north exit of Niigata Station. A gelato shop run by a friendly lady. However, being able to drink a light beer or a highball feels indescribably good. Carefully poured draft beer is 500 yen, highballs are 500 yen, and there are snacks available, so it's perfect for a quick drink once you exit the north exit. It's a shop where you can see why office workers gather at night.
