::Closed each branch and concentrated on the main office There are 3 locations for accepting individual accounts. I waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes for the procedure. I don't have many ATMs anymore, and I feel like it's better to use Aeon Bank or Seven Bank, so I no longer appreciate the value of regular banks. Currently, I only use direct debit. The privatized former master Hinomaru may be more convenient as it has many counters.

::A rotating female retail salesperson frequently visited my elderly parents' home to sell financial products to them. They were selling foreign currency denominated life insurance, Brazilian real investment trusts, etc. It is the largest financial institution in Ibaraki, but since the people concerned have given their consent, the bank is not at fault. All we could do was file a complaint through the Japanese Bankers Association and have them banned. I want them to do work that is worthy of their pride.

::(My problem is not with the tellers but the bank itself.(I brought an old check in to see if it could be cashed. They said they could deposit it to my account for a (rather steep) processing fee. I agreed, since something is better than nothing. A few days later, they removed the money and informed me the check didn't clear. I have no problem with that. However, they refused to refund the processing fee, even in part. The basic feeling I got was a "screw you" kind of attitude. Very negative feeling. I recommend using another bank. **Update. They called to inform me that I owe them an additional 1800 yen transaction fee for the failed transaction. Can I give them negative stars?

::Quite ordinary bank with English speaking staff at the counter for international transfers. Waiting times are a bit long, and opening times are inconvenient (like for any other bank) if you are working. It is easily accessible by bus. There is parking, although that is a bit hard to find, you have to drive around the building and it is somewhere behind it.
