  Nice cake, ok coffee. Not very tourist friendly, and I think they are wanting to be more of a place for locals (and older generation locals at that). Everyone was very friendly and polite, but didn’t feel very welcoming (to a tourist at least). No English menu (and I felt they objected to me using my phone to translate the menu) and cash only

  The coffee was smoked and nice. Cheese cake was very good, less sugar and creamy

  We came here as a group of 4 to relax and drink some coffee. Sadly, our experience was very bad. First, they seated us at two different tables even though the entire cafe was empty. One of our group tried to order juice or tea instead of coffee: Not possible - they don't have anything except coffee. Next, she tried to order cake or a snack: Not possible, they don't have any. Then she said fine, I won't have anything then: Not possible - as EVERYONE from your group MUST order 1 coffee. Very strange vibes from the place, server lady seemed annoyed by our presence and there were signs with rules everywhere. After that, we packed our things and left. Better go spend your time and money somewhere else. By far the worst customer service experience we've had in Japan. Avoid.

  Intrigued by the reviews and I can understand why some people would love this place. However, with that said I do not recommend this place, If you like light roasted coffee. The coffee I got served tasted like ash tray and burnt cigarettes, and there seem to be no other versions other than dark coffee. You will get kicked out if you overstay and no picture are allowed. Cake was great but overall you pay for the experience and end up with a smaller wallet.

  No coffee machine here, just a lovely older couple doing things old school. They were lovely so is there shop. A little more expensive than your average cup, but worth it for the experience.
