Great experience! Tho I probably won't be eating wanko soba for a while 🤣 I went there on a nice time, so there was no queue (1pm, on a weekday) Service was excellent, I get tips every now n then

The wanko Soba challenge was interesting..the first 50 rounds were easy but after that they started to serve cold Soba Al well which was not very easy to swallow.. but if you reach 100th bowl you receive a certificate of achievement. It was a great challenge. The place was very amazing with great service 🤩🤩

Azumaya restaurant is a unique and exciting experience for tourists in Japan, offering a new take on traditional ramen with high-quality ingredients and unique flavor combinations. However, the prices may not be budget-friendly, making it a splurge-worthy option for foodies looking for a unique dining experience.

Very good, novel soba restaurant. Choose a toppings menu, then have all you can eat small bowls of fresh soba. Apparently the average person can eat 60-80 bowls, with the record being 345 bowls. Good toppings and side dishes, including ikura, sashimi, duck, tempura, etc.

Experience-wise, eating Morioka’s wanko soba was worth trying especially if it’s your first visit in this city. 😌 The staff members were very kind and that’s a great plus to enjoy the meal. It’s true that it was quite pressuring to devour your noodles while a waitress stood beside you. But you can pace down a little and politely “give up” by covering your bowl. 🙂 Truthfully, ¥3700 was really expensive for one set, so you should come prepared: maybe skip lunch and dine in for dinner. 😆 Taste-wise, it was average soba. The sidings were good. But really, we 80% paid for the experience! 🤭 Also: if you love cats, make sure to get one of their cute postcards for sale. I asked and learned that it was the shop’s owner’s art. 🐈‍⬛
