::[Asamutsu Bridge] is one of the song pillows, and is the route taken by Basho on his way from Fukui to Tsuruga in August 1689. In the original text of ``Oku no Hosomichi'' it is written, ``The white roots hide behind the mountain, and the hina rises in bulk. Crossing the bridge of Asamuzu, the reeds of Tamae emerge into ears.'' The Asaroku Bridge Monument stands across from the post office. The dawn of snow in Mt. Fuji and Kakuhara's Manjushri in Koshi, Saigyo Hoshi Six mornings and the dawn of a moon-viewing trip Basho This is the former Asozu inn on Hokuriku Expressway. Basho and the Fukui haiku poet Tosho passed through here on August 13th of the lunar calendar.
