  I received the Kitsune Udon Set for 1,650 yen. The udon soup stock is sweet and the noodles are soft. The sushi bar was delicious with thick and fatty mackerel.

  This is a restaurant that fully promotes bar mackerel sushi. The interior of the store has a relaxing retro feel. I received the mackerel stick sushi set for 1,650 yen (tax included). Bar mackerel sushi is made from thick mackerel, without any smell or taste, and the vinegared rice is also a seasoning that takes advantage of this mackerel, creating a synergistic effect of flavor. It was quite expensive to take home, but it was so delicious that I wanted to buy it. For udon, you can choose from fox or grated konbu. The udon noodles have rounded corners and are soft Kyoto style. The color of the soup stock is dark, but the soy sauce is not spicy. 4-person table 3. 8-person table 2. 6 counter seats. 3 4-seater tatami seats. PayPay accepted.

  On the way back from visiting Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine. It was open for takeout from early morning on New Year's Day. I'm a big fan of mackerel stick sushi, so I was drawn to it even though it was quite expensive at 3,600 yen. The most important bar sushi was the mackerel and the rice, both with the perfect amount of vinegar, giving me a sense of the true power of Kyoto. If I have a chance, I would like to have a drink at the store.

  There is no english menu. Kinda expensive but very worth it. One of the best meal we ate during our kyoto trip. We ordered sashimi, fried oyster, and tempura. And it were all delicious. A must try restaurant esp. if you are visiting iwashumizu hachimangu. It is located in front of the station. Will feature this on my vlog at my youtube (@soraltrading) and on my other social medias.

  Excellent Saba sushi!!! Great oden and everything is cheaper than I expected. And it is just in front of the train station.
