::This shop was recommended by a local and I have to say no regrets having this for dinner. Highly recommend if you are in Asahikawa. Asahikawa is well known for their ramen noodles and you must not miss this shop! Generous portions and taste was exceptional!

::Staff was really welcoming. Delicious ramen for a great value price. Big portions too would go again

::Staff is polite and well training. And multi language menu is very help. Ramen is very good. I had soy sauce soup with butter and corn ramen for dinner, the regular portion is much. The butter melted in soup didn’t make it greasy or salty. But I wish the corn could be more crunchy and juicy. The restaurant is in the basement, and there are many famous ppls’ signatures hang on the wall. The atmosphere there is not fancy but very cozy.

::One of the biggest and best bowls of ramen I've ever had! Portions are very large and prices are very reasonable. The miso broth-based ramen was incredibly flavourful and the amount of chashu (sliced pork) was very generous! The vegetables were locally sourced and tasted very fresh.

::Baikohken Ramen The ramen shop is tucked away at the basement of a building which can be easily missed if you’re not paying attention to the signboard. It’s a simple cosy shop where the walls are decorated with autographs of celebrities who had graced the shop. We were very eager to try Baikouken’s ramen as they were awarded first place in the Asahikawa Ramen Award. We had the shoyu ramen, of course. The soup was taste upon first sip, with a deep bold flavour imparted by the shoyu. However, after several more sips, the soup became too salty for my liking. Despite the wonderful soft and tender texture of the char siew, it was overly seasoned with salt, and weirdly tasted like corned beef, which just ruined the dish. The only thing I liked was the noodle as it didn’t reek of ammonia and had a better texture than the rest I’ve tried so far. Even though they had gotten top prize for the award, the bowl of ramen I had wasn’t top quality, which is why I’m only awarding them 2 stars.
