This is my third visit to Sendai. At 11:30, the place was almost full and I barely managed to slip into the counter. First, we had sashimi of filefish and northern shellfish at Urakasumi. Several pieces of filefish thinly sliced are dipped in liver soy sauce, and the liver soy sauce is exquisite and goes perfectly with the thinly sliced filefish. Sake progresses. The filefish engawa also has a firm texture that you won't be able to resist. Of course, the Kitayori shellfish was also delicious. To finish off our meal, we enjoyed the local seafood in Fisherman's Bowl. Personally, I would be happy if there were more types of sake.

I ate a half set of surf clam rice and oyster rice. It was over 3,000 yen, which was a luxury for a lunch, but I went there since there are few restaurants open on the second day of the New Year. There were people from outside the prefecture with us, so they were happy because it was their first time eating surf clam rice. The oyster rice was delicious with the oyster extract soaked into the rice, and there was a lot of oyster in it, but the oyster itself was just meh. If you're going to compare the flavors, I think it would be a good idea to eat a little less rice and add a little bit of raw surf clams and oysters. I would have liked the chawanmushi even if the price was a little higher. The pickles and soup were delicious.

Delicious restaurant that specialises in seafood from the Watari/Yamamoto area along with other more common dishes like sashimi. Dishes like Harako Meshi is a Miyagi specialty that can only be enjoyed in Autumn. You can get it as a set that comes with either sashimi or nigiri 🍣.

Great place to eat seafood and harako don (salmon and salmon roe rice bowl) Price was reasonable. Food was delicious. Only have japanese though so you might need just a bit of japanese or point at the harako meshi at the menu. The fried tako was absolutely the best I’ve had.
