::Had an amazing time at the zoo. The variety of animals maintained at the zoo simply amazes me. They are nurtured and well taken care of. Had really close encounters with many of my favourite animals and enjoyed exploring and expanding my knowledge on animals. The zoo is a great addition to the park and makes it very interested. Hats off to the staff for taking such good care of the animals and allowing us a unique experience.

::This place was more of a people zoo than an animal zoo. As soon as it opened on a weekday there were lines 20 people thick. Lots of school kids. Most of the enclosures were nearly impossible to see due to the amount of people. There was a fair amount of construction going on, and enclosures closed down/empty. Lots of garbage around and the food in the food court was not ideal. Fairly expensive for fairy mediocre. I wouldn't choose to come back to the zoo again if I was in Tokyo.

::In the beautiful and historic Ueno. Quite a few animals I don't usually see at zoos. Not the nicest inside and animals don't have nice enclosures and there isn't much room, but we enjoyed seeing them all the same. Beautiful park/lake next door. Great eating facilities. Great value for money.

::A nice zoo with a wild variety of animals. There is plenty of space for sitting down for a picnic - it is very normal for schools and nurseries to take the children to the zoo and sit down for a picnic. The animal cages are not as big as in the european zoo's like in London or Copenhagen. There are plenty of eateries around with reasonable prices and vending machines.

::Good variation of animals... tickets 600¥. but need to pay extra money to see Big Panda which separately located... if you want to see that guy you must go early and get that extra ticket... zoo has 2 sides where separates by road.. you can use mono rail or bridge to cross the road.. mono rail cost 200¥. I recommend that because it’s another experience for people...
