  Very nice place. It’s halfway between an hotel and hostel. Staff is very nice, especially the chief/owner which is incredibly nice and speaks perfect English. Rooms are 4 beds rooms and beds are capsule-style, so you can get very good sleep there. Comfy bed with light and plugs. Amenities are very good and very clean. The place has a special vibe, pretty warm, it feels a bit like a nice little family hotel. A small restaurant is built in the hotel, and the lobby/common area is also the restaurant room which is nice. Breakfast is very decent, many choices, unlimited servings for most. It’s possible to meet some people there but not too many because the place is pretty small. Limited but present social vibe. In that regard It’s much better than the average hostel in Japan. The location is nothing special, boring neighborhood but walkable distance from Tokyo Imperial Palace. Would come back.

  It's probably been a good 3 years since I last stayed in a hostel (and that last hostel happened to be in Osaka). Even though I usually stay in full-service hotels, I really enjoyed this hostel due to the combination of affordability, convenience, and friendly service. The hostel is located conveniently near the Jimbocho subway station (5 min walk) on a pretty quiet side street. There is plenty of dining and convenience store options nearby, and you really get a native Tokyo feel. It is pretty easy to find with a little cafe up front. Once you walk in, you find a small check-in counter to your right where the front desk staff is friendly and efficient in getting you to your room and answering your questions. The hostel is located close to the imperial palace, yasukuni shrine, and not too far from Tokyo Station / Ginza. I got a single private room with a tiny window (didn't really overlook anything) - enough space for 1 person to not feel claustrophobic but not much bigger than a prison cell. The shared sinks on the floor were clean and easy to use. The showers were comfortable though basic, and there were plenty of bathrooms on each floor. I never had to wait in the morning or at night.

  Very good hostal in the heart of Tokyo. Second visit in 3 years, the same quality people working there made our stay very easy. They have plenty of help and activities the year round for those who want to explore central Tokyo. Highly recommended

  The guy at the reception tried illegally to refuse me service because because they asked me my Residence Card, when they don't have by law the power to do that since I'm a long term resident of Japan with an address in Japan, and neither they can refuse me service, so their actions were completely illegal. EDIT: In response to what they are saying about "Identification upon Check in" I have the following to say: 1. This is illegal. You can ask for Identification and people MAY give it to you if they want, but you cannot refuse service because they don't give you any identification. 2. I wasn't asked to provide an identification. I was asked to provide my Residence Card. If you asked me for some other ID I would have probably provided it without any problem, but you were asking specifically for the Residence Card. 3. You ask for the nationality of someone, and the way you treat them depends completely on their nationality. 4. The next day some Chinese guy from HQ "apologized" to me using broken Spanish, which felt completely condescending, specially since I could speak in a better Japanese than him, and I've probably lived longer in this country than that guy. 5. I'm constantly staying at business hotels because of my Job, and I've never ever had an experience like this before or after. No one has EVER asked me for an ID. They may ask if I'm a resident, and because I say "Yes" they don't ask anything else, because legally speaking the only time you can ask for someone passport is if they are non-residents, even if they have a Japanese Nationality.

  2泊3日で利用しました。 駅から歩いてすぐのところにあり、ファミマも近くなので便利でした。予約からチェックアウトに至るまで面倒な手続きが全然なく、とてもスムーズなのが良かったです。スタッフのみなさんも明るく丁寧に接してくれて嬉しかったです。シャワーやトイレは共用ですが、清潔に保たれているので安心して使えました。 部屋の清掃も行き届いています(私はハウスダストのアレルギー持ちですが、埃に苦しむことがありませんでした)。ドアが重たいので、閉める時注意が必要かと思います。 駅近で、門限がなく、好きな時に出て好きな時に帰ってこられる。旅の拠点として最高でした。また東京を旅することがあれば是非またお世話になりたいです。
